View from Black Butte

Now that Spring/Summer weather is starting to show its face in Central Oregon, it's time for me to go explore! Last weekend I hiked up Black Butte. If you're in the area and never been, I recommend it! It's a bit tough at places, but bring plenty of water (and a camera), and take breaks if needed. You won't regret it, the views are amazing! Mt Jefferson

When driving around Awbrey Butte, I always get excited as I approach what I consider "the back side". That part of Awbrey where the mountains start to peak into view, and you cannot help but be amazed! The first time I saw this, I literally pulled my car off the road so I could just stare in wonder. It's a view that I hope I never get tired of appreciating. Here is just one of the magnificent mountains to be seen.
